E-mail Lists for Autistics

A list is sort of an electronic support group. People who subscribe to the list can all send emails to each other and discuss a particular topic or issue. The following are lists aimed primarily at autistic people supporting each other, although parents are also welcome on most of them. We also have a list of more parenting focussed lists.

If you have Netscape 4 or Internet Explorer 4, you can just click on the word "Subscription" to produce an addressed e-mail with the correct subject. In most cases you will have to type something in the body (main) part of the message - as described in the subscription box. If you don't have one of the above mentioned programes, just send an e-mail to the address listed with the Subject and Body as described. If you need help, please don't hesitate to contact me at: klbuckle@email.msn.com

A-DAY LIST

Information
Volume: very low
Region: international
Listowner:Martijn Dekker

InternAUT serves a threefold purpose:

  1. to increase public awareness about autism and about the fact that autistics are whole and valuable persons;
  2. to provide a chance for autistics to meet and get in touch with each other, either through the Internet, in "real life", or by any other means;
  3. initiating a process of advocacy and emancipation of autistic people.

We have a discussion list called "a-day" going in which we are brainstorming about ideas.
